I’m 24 and have lived in Mount Eden all my life. I have managed to land my dream job as full time contemporary dancer based in Auckland, New Zealand.

What’s your biggest project going on now?
Working with Pacific Contemporary Dance Company, Black Grace, on a brand new full length work titled Gathering Clouds created by Neil Ieremia. This work will premiere at The Civic on March 5th as part of the Auckland Festival before touring around the North Island, www.blackgrace.co.nz

What do you spend your days doing?
I spend my days at the Black Grace studio in downtown Auckland City – doing classes, workshopping, rehearsing from 9am – 6pm, and then I limp home to a hot shower!

Where’s your favourite place in NZ?
Our new family bach in Whangamata, Coromandel – the quiet end.

What’s your favourite tipple?
5 o’clock gin and tonic on the deck with Mum.

Who inspired/or continues to inspire you most in your life?
Oh lots of people! My parents, best friends, workmates, people/characters I read about …

What’s the latest thing downloaded to your Ipod?
Kayne West’s 808 & Heartbreak.

What’s your biggest weakness?
Buying too many DVD’s.

If you weren’t doing what you are doing now you’d…
Be a police detective.

What are you reading?
I have just finished Room Full of Mirrors, a biography of Jimi Hendrix by Charles R Cross and A Thousand Splendid Suns written by Khaled Hosseini.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Everyone I love keeps good health and get together more often!

What is your greatest fear?
Getting too old to dance.

What is your greatest extravagance?
My weekly Foodtown bill.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would love a stronger body; better back, hips and shins. Plus the usual longer legs … smaller bum …
