In one or two sentences introduce yourself…….
Mmm.....37 goin on 21, very proud to be a kiwi but with insatiable desire to explore the rest of the world. I’m a bit ambiguous really – I love chilling at home but can’t wait to escape somewhere new. I started taking photographs as a hobby and now it’s a fulltime job with weddings being my main source of income.
What’s your biggest project going on now?
Well the Summer wedding season is back so I will be concentrating on that for the next few months, though always in the background planning a new trip and wondering if I can afford it!
What do you spend your days doing?
I spend a lot of unnecessary time procrastinating and trying to motivate myself to go for a run! I am always editing something – if not a wedding then photos of my friends kids (who I also spend a lot of time with & love like my own!) I do love reading (usually travel/autobiographies but did just succumb to the Twilight series and it took over for a week) and I love music and movies.
Where’s your favourite place in NZ?
My Aunt's farm in Central Otago is just stunning but I love travelling around the Queenstown area too. Then again the beaches and bush of the North are pretty cool too!
What’s your favourite tipple?
A nice cold Sauvignon Blanc – preferably in the sun at the end of a long day with stunning view......
Who inspired/or continues to inspire you most in your life?
I am addicted to national geographic (I have over 40 years worth!) and I love reading about people who travel to exotic destinations. I guess I am mostly inspired by the beauty and complexity of the world out there.......
What’s the latest thing downloaded to your Ipod?
Well I just got Miriam Clancy’s album "Magnetic" and I discovered a new song I like which I purchased – "Ambulance Blues" by Neil Young
What’s your biggest weakness?
Lindt Chilli dark chocolate
If you weren’t doing what you are doing now you’d…
If money was no option I would buy a beautiful big house with a studio...... and continuously travel and fill my house with treasures and images from the around the world......... Otherwise I can’t imagine what else I could do – I would go crazy in a life of constant routine – I kinda like being slightly unsettled!
What are you reading?
Apart from my affore mentioned recently acquired Twlight obsession I am half way through Bill Bryson;s "A Short History of Nearly Everything"
What is your idea of perfect happiness? Heaven
What is your greatest fear?
Not being good enough
What is your greatest extravagance?
New camera equipment! Though I mainly spend any spare cash on secondhand books and wine......
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would try to not worry so much about what other people think
Finish these sentences:
It really irritates me that
My internet is so slow........
I just love it when….
The sun comes out!
